Christine was born in Melbourne, Florida and attended high school in Gainesville. She is a graduate of Barnard College and Florida State University College of Law. Christine is a rarity: an eighth-generation Floridian who has lived all over the state. She is based in the Tampa area currently.
Christine translates regulations into operational reality. Twenty years of practice teaches that laws on a page and actual enforcement rarely align.
Christine served seven years as Director of Compliance for a multistate cannabis company operating in four states. The job required building a compliance program from the ground up, representing the company before regulatory agencies, and handling administrative litigation. The work included license application drafting, compliance monitoring and auditing programs, and defending her company when it faced enforcement actions before state agencies.
Christine has also represented companies large and small before state and federal agencies on rule development, licensing and permitting, and general compliance matters.
Christine is an active member of the Florida Bar, where she has chaired two different committees and was a fellow of Class VI of the Florida Bar Leadership Academy. She has also served on the Executive Committee of the Florida Bar Environmental and Land Use Law Section and is a member of the Administrative Law Section.
She speaks on a wide variety of topics at continuing legal education courses. She also is a highlighted speaker and subject matter expert for Green Flower’s Cannabis Compliance & Risk Management Certificate Program, which is offered at more than 60 universities in the United States.
